Why is this world in such a mess?
This
question is usually asked when we are in pain...either
emotionally or physically. In our surroundings we see that
everything is a mess.
God is
all powerful and can do anything that does not directly
oppose who He is.
Can He
make the world perfect? No. This would go directly against
our free will. The world is in such a mess because
humanity has made it that way. God told us how to keep the
world perfect when he gave us His Word (The Bible) and
commandments through Moses but we chose not to follow them
and sin.
God also
gave Adam and Eve a choice to love him fully without any
knowledge of sin but they chose to pursue that knowledge
and from thereon in they knew what sin was. God changed
their very nature to a one that was sinful.
We have
all sinned and have fallen short of God's glory. The world
around us can only be what we have built on our own.
The bible
says, All have turned away, they have together
become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even
one. Romans 3:12
Now, if
we all together have become worthless, how can we expect a
perfect world? Does God expect us to be perfect? No, far
from it, because Jesus said, Not one is good
except God alone. Luke
18:19
So why
did God give us a freewill? If our selfish freewill caused
this mess why would God give it us?
Its quite
simple really, if we had no freewill we could not pursue a
love relationship with God. The very nature of love must
be given freely.
God chose
to love us and He wants the same thing from us. He will
give us the perfect world if we earn our right to join Him
in heaven. We are nothing without God. There is nothing
good in us. If you have any good within you, it only comes
from Jesus Christ.
We should
never look at the world in it's present state but look at
the world in the light of eternity. All earthly things
will go to the grave. The only thing that we can carry
with us is our spirit. Spiritual growth is the only thing
we should focus on. Nothing else matters.
