Questions
and Answers
2.
Is there a real right or wrong?
Yes...
God is the judge of what is truly wrong and what is not
according to the bible. What is wrong to God is called
sin. We are all accountable for our sins.
"Now
we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who
are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and
the whole world may be held accountable to God. For by
works of the law no human being will be justified in his
sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin."
Romans 3:19-20
Now the
law of God for sin are the Ten Commandments. Most people
think of the Ten Commandments as suggestions to guide you
through life. But this is not the case. If that were so,
they would be called the "Ten Suggestions."
All hope
for the kingdom of heaven is not lost to sinners because
all humans sin. God gave us another path through Christ
Jesus.
For
God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in him should not perish but have
everlasting life. John 3:16
This path
however still requires us to repent of our sins. No
repentance equals no heaven.
"I
tell you, no, but, unless you repent, you will all perish
in the same way." Luke 13:3
Repentance
is not just feeling bad about it...you must confess your
sin and forsake (or turn away) from them in order to
repent.
"He
who conceals his sins doesn't prosper, but whoever
confesses and renounces them will find mercy."
Proverbs 28:13
"Let
the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his
thoughts; and let him return to God, and he will have
mercy on him; and to our God, for he will abundantly
pardon." Isaiah 55:7
